Policy Heavyweights Join Angus Reid Strategies
[VANCOUVER - Apr. 6, 2009] - Global research leader Angus Reid Strategies is proud to announce the appointment of Jaideep Mukerji and Hamish Marshall to its thriving North American public affairs practice.
After a successful 2008, which included the most accurate predictions of both the Canadian federal election and the Quebec provincial election, Angus Reid Strategies adds two policy heavyweights with a wide array of Canadian and international experience to its team of researchers and experts.
Jaideep worked as a senior analyst at Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research and as a journalist in the Middle East, India and Africa. He has advised political campaigns in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia and provided strategic polling to large corporations. Most recently, Jaideep served as chief of staff to federal foreign affairs critic Bob Rae. Jaideep holds a dual master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Columbia University in Economics and Public Administration.
Hamish served as the manager of strategic planning in the Office of Prime Minister Stephen Harper, where he oversaw quantitative and qualitative public opinion research projects. He has advised political campaigns in several countries, including Bangladesh, Britain, Canada and Norway, and helped establish a chain of radio stations in Afghanistan. Hamish holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Oxford.
"Both Jaideep and Hamish will add depth to our already strong public affairs team," said Angus Reid, CEO of Angus Reid Strategies. "Their experience will provide a significant contribution to the Angus Reid Report, our comprehensive public opinion study including direct comparisons between provinces across Canada, and our unique Daily Omnibus."
Angus Reid Strategies has been at the forefront of a revolution in market research, using its premier online survey platform—the Angus Reid Forum—to present respondents with highly visual, interactive, and engaging surveys that ensure thoughtful and reliable responses. With an emphasis on quickness that cannot be matched by telephone-based research, Angus Reid Strategies has succeeded in providing an accurate appraisal of the views of Canadians.
